Upgrades are simple to run and are FREE to All Licensed Users.

If you are have only a dialup Internet connection. be sure to enter your Internet connection information in the “Setup” - “Dial /Port Settings” screen so SoftSell can automate connection, download, and upgrade procedures for you. This procedure may be used in Single, Host, and Remote locations.

If you are running a version prior to 5.4.7 Please see patch files below or contact SoftSell @ 508-888-3764.

To run the upgrade procedure from within SoftSell, click
“Setup - Upgrade – SoftSell Update - Yes”
(in older systems; “Setup - SoftSell Upgrade - Download FTP Upgrade – “Yes”)

All download and upgrade procedures are automated and triggered by the above single command. This includes connecting to the Internet for you. You must run it on a machine with Internet access ON THE SERVER (if you have a network). No Browser software is required as SoftSell has web access software built in. This machine must contain the Main SoftSell installation. If you have a network, this machine must be the server - exit all guest workstations. SoftSell will do all the work for you. Passwords are not required.

The time it takes to perform the upgrade depend on you hardware, the quantity of data and other factors.

How to upgrade you SoftSell system..

1. Click “Setup”
2. Click Upgrade
3. Click “SoftSell Update”

Follow the steps below to run a patch downloaded from the web.
1. Click the appropriate download button below
2. In the "Save To" or "Save In" dialog, set the destination to "C/SoftSell\dnload"
3. In SoftSell, click "Setup" - "SoftSell Upgrade" - "Run Downloaded Update"

If your current SoftSell version is between 4.3 and 5.4x, run this patch to update the Upgrade systems in SoftSell and enable the to new Fully automated "SoftSell Update" functions. .

Upgrade Systems Installer NOT A PATCH!
We have done a lot of work to automate and simplify upgrades. These new procedures are built into your existing SoftSell systems. If you have a problem running the full upgrade. This is probably due to the upgrade systems engine in your version not being new enough (v4.3x or higher) due to a longer period between upgrades. Download and run this installation program. It will update your SoftSell Upgrade system. After installation, run the upgrade again. Run this only if required. The Installer will ask for a Password. Type "upgrade" to run this Setup Program.

Save anywhere and double click to install.

NOTES -
Be sure all guest workstations are out before step 3.
No need to exit SoftSell on a server or single user machine.
