Star TSP 600 (TSP643)  Print Driver Installation

 

 

Connect printer cables and power supply.

Turn printer on and load paper.

 

Download http://www.softsellinc.com/star16.exe and save it to your c:\backup directory

Double click the star16.exe program file in the backup directory and click OK.

Click “unzip” to extract to c:\star (default folder)

 

Click “Add New Printer” icon in the Control Panels - Printers Folder

Select LPT1 As the port

Click “Have Disk” when the printer list appears

Click “Browse” and Double Click the c:\star folder to open it.

Double Click the “Print DriverV1.6” Folder to open it

Double Click the “Drivers” Folder to open it

Double Click your Operating system version (Windows – Use 2000 for XP)

            For 2000 and XP - Double Click “Mini Drivers” to open the folder

Double Click the ”TSP600” folder to open it

Select the ”TSP600.inf” file and click Open

Click ”Star TSP643(Pcut)” and click Next

Click OK and complete the installation process.

 

To set receipt size (Win 2000 and XP)

In the Printers Folder, Right Click on the “Star TSP 643” driver and click Properties

Click Printing Preferences.

Click Paper Quality

Select “Receipt Mode” from the "Paper Source” options list.

Click “Apply”, “OK”,

Click “Print Test Page” to test.

Click “OK” to exit

 

To Pop a Slave Cash Drawer connected to the Printer..

In the Printers Folder, Right Click on the “Star TSP 643” driver and click Properties

Click Printing Preferences.

Click Advanced

In "Document Options  - Media"  Select "Cash Drawer #1"

Click “OK” to exit
